Regional and Individual Competences

Among the aims of the EuCluster portal is to provide an integrated tool for competence mapping at individual, organizational and regional level. Some of this features are already available at the main site.

Among the available tools, there are surveys and benchmarking tools for organizations, self-assessment questionnaires for individuals and survey instruments to support strategy and policy making for regions. Up to 10 languages at the same time will be possible.

The following main competence mapping features are or will soon be available:

For regions and policy makers:
- An easy-to-tailor tool for collecting specific data on individuals and companies present in their territory and mapping their strengths and needs
- A platform to show the top individual resources and enterprises of the region

For organizations
A database to describe and find organizational competences
A survey instrument to be used for several aspects related of innovation, which can be used for benchmarking purposes
A tool to map work availability of its members and users
An instrument to map training needs of its members and users

For individuals:
A tool for mapping the own competence and to plan the individual competence development
An emotional intelligence self-assessment tool
An availability sheet
A CV repository in EU format

The integrated EuCluster Innovation community platform has among its features: event handler, messages, document management and non-technological competences mapping tools.

Other tools and instruments will be soon available according to an Open Source approach to innovation methodologies.

Membership is available to all individuals and companies, while the platform can be used and customised according to the needs of the adopting regions. Trials have been carried out in the Province of Florence in Italy and in the regions of Blekinge in Sweden, Komen/Karst in Slovenia and Valladolid in Spain
