Development of the innovative entrepreneurship potential of SME-s as knowledge-sharing trans-national technology transfer partners


Abstract:
EW ISME concentrates on activating and smoothing links between EU accession countries and EU member countries. SMEs in the EU accession countries will be trained to make efficient use of the European Innovation System establishes by and for EU member countries. The aim of the project is to jumpstart East-West cooperation in the field of innovation, and to establish systems in order to guarantee the sustainability of active networking also after the end of EW ISME.
Objectives:
EW ISME plans to engage 50 SMEs from 7 different countries to the knowledge-sharing process that would result in more than 3 trans-national technology transfer contract signed, at least 40 SMEs get assisted on their way to innovation, and trans-national technology transfer, there at least 70 members in the learning network.
Activities and preliminary schedule:
• August-September 2003 – innovation promotion campaign, including 1 day seminar in home country where also successful trans-national technology transfer cases are demonstrated
• October - November 2003 – Innovation Pre-Survey
• January - April 2004 - four 2-day trainings for SMEs in home country
• May 2004 - International brokering (for participating SMEs from 7 countries) in Finland including visits to successful innovative SMEs, and technology parks
• April – September 2004 – Contact meetings with SMEs of your interest in Europe organised
• April – December 2004 – Learning Network design and launch, workshop in Norway
• July – December 2004 – Follow-up Innovation Survey; Manual ‘Innovative Entrepreneur’ compiled and published
• January 2005 - International conference of innovation and technology transfer in Hungary
