Work plan

From Pamplona to Brussels a survey on what people expected from the cluster was done. This was presented in Brussels and served as a foundation for the formulation of challenges. Except from administrative tasks dealt with by the AM facilitators there where three tasks

- To facilitate networking a database of competences and need in the cluster is beeing designed. (See below)

- We must learn more about how to work with diversity as a resource.

- Learning opportunities. Plans for learning opportunities were made for the Potsdam meeting but some of them is Data base tool

Database of competences from participating organisations, all competences, want information from new participants also require and also needs related to the project Mapping competences Products and Services. Has a search engine.

Diversity and Complementarity

Can we see consequence in how to train people, across different disciplines in a company or organisation. Company finance marketing HRD and technology, what are training needs and how do you organise the training.

Diversity is critical because IPs are so different. Could it be possible to have a model on when diversity is required and when homogeneity is preferred?

How do we organise knowledge cycle in an IP. What is our concepts of knowledge creation, application and transfer. Clearly networking skills and a willingness to share are essential to the success in this.

How can we identify similarities for clustering us regarding our different views on knowledge.

How do we share experiences in the cluster and how much effort and time are IPs willing to put into the process.

Consortium of an IP have different objectives need to identify common issues. Where can diversity be useful, need to identify and use it effectively?

Future organisation of cluster

Discussing these issues continue working with Lifestyle in this cluster and give examples for benefit of the members of the cluster.

Stories how do we collect and disseminate knowledge is a vital part of the knowledge transfer. We could be better to collect stories.

IPs have problems financing their participation in cluster activitied. Funds for clustering in addendums for 2nd call or use other specific costs. 3rd call projects have costs for cluster activities in their budget.

Javier Ruiz from Labein, Spain, was elected as chairman of the cluster for the next six months.
